The punk girl from Life Is Strange.
I gotta blame somebody. Otherwise it’s all my fault. Fuck that.

I’ve heard about this game many times, but I never was interested. Games that kind of act more like a playable movie never were my thing. However, when Life is Strange: Before The Storm was announced I decided to take a look at the original game. At first I found it really cringy and hard to watch, besides I don’t wanna see a few girls and their school school problems and drug drama at the restroom- Holy crap, did this game just got about time travel!!! That pretty much were my thoughts about it! This immediately got my attention and despite the few flaws and teenage talk I think it’s one of the best stories I’ve ever seen.
Even though I find some of Chloe’s action pretty toxic I like her the most. In the end she has a good heart.

This was one of my last-minute stupid ideas and I love it! I arranged the whole costume in the last week of June in 2017 so I could already wear it for Comic Con Germany. Later that summer I also made a new top so I could do a cool shooting at a junkyard.
I ordered the top from Episode 1 at the Redbubble and also bought a blank tank top on which I drew the bull skull from Episode 2 myself. Also I bought a pair of jeans (actually two cause I messed up the first one… Just like Chloe, I have problems with my left and other left side XD) and added the fabric patches and made the destroyed part (there are super helpful tutorials on Youtube if you ever need to destroy your jeans as well). I found cool shell keychains on Amazon and put them on a leather cord for Chloe’s necklace. Last parts I bought were of course the wig, a few braclets, the beanie, the black jacket and – so I can act really badass – a colt. I used my old military boots, but one day I want fitting western boots.

Next up was the tattoo, this is such a important part of her design, I didn’t want to hide it under a jacket all the time. But I also didn’t want to rely on somebody to paint the whole damn tattoo for hours. So at first I looked for tattoo sleeves but I couldn’t find one that would do it. And then it hit me: Why not make the sleeve myself?! I created an “arm dummy”, put some old tights on them and drew the tattoo with fabric color. I just have to glue it on to my shoulder and wrist with some spirit gum and it takes less than 10 minutes! Genius, isn’t it? XD
