The sorceress from The Witcher 3.
I’m not like other sorceresses, to feel that following someone means my wings have been clipped.

After The Witcher 3 has become one of my favourite games of all time I already knew when I was working on my Ciri cosplay that Yennefer would be my second one of this franchise. I never really liked Triss, I always felt like she was using Geralt but when we got to see Yen in the game I instantly knew what he saw in her.

Making of
I started this Cosplay in late December 2016 with getting all the materials and also drawing some pattern. I orderes almost everything online except for the brocade which I bought at a local store after recognizing that the one I ordered was to bright. I got the costume wearable for a test run on “Faschingsdienstag” on the 28th of February 2017. I then finished the whole costume by the 31th of March, which was the entry deadline for the cosplay contest at Comic Con Austria 2017.
This costume has been the biggest sewing challenge by now. Especially the jacket and the boots were very ambitious projects. But I also tried a new pattern for the glooves. This was also the first time I did a lining for my jacket. But not everything was made out of fabric, I made the pendant out of Worbla’s Black Art and rhinestones and a light-up raven skull prop out of Worbla’s Transpa Art and packing material to diffuse the light. I didn’t make every bit of detail myself like I did with Ciri but I’m very happy with the result with the bought incidentals like points, buckles and buttons (which look almost identically to the game design! Accidentally stumbled upon them at a local store when I was looking for the brocade.). This was also the first time I wore a lacefront wig, I bought a 60 cm wig and shortened it a bit to get the length I wanted.
